Lost Pines Poultry Farm is a small, family-run farm in Bastrop County, Texas, raising pasture-finished chicken and pork for families who want to know where their food comes from and how it was raised. We started Lost Pines in 2025 with a pretty simple idea: raise good food, raise it responsibly, and make buying directly from a farmer feel normal and accessible. What started with poultry has grown to include pigs, laying hens, breeding and show pigs, and a whole lot of plans for what comes next. Our chickens are raised outdoors on pasture and processed at a USDA-inspected facility. Our pigs are raised in small groups with plenty of room to root, dig, wallow, and generally act like pigs. We don’t use routine antibiotics, and because we’re a small operation, we’re involved in every part of raising the animals that eventually feed our customers’ families. We’re also building this farm from the ground up, and we don’t pretend farming is always picturesque. Sometimes it’s beautiful pasture and baby pigs. Sometimes it’s mud, busted equipment, 100-degree Texas afternoons, and doing chores after dark with a flashlight. Lost Pines is ours because of all of it. We’re trying to build a farm that supports our family, takes good care of our animals and land, and gives other families a direct connection to the people raising their food.
